On the same Wi-Fi or mobile data, open circuitbitapp.com in Chrome.

• The website opens, but the app does not → your internet is fine. A setting on your phone is blocking only the CircuitBit app. Go to Part 1.
• The website does not open either → your Wi-Fi or internet provider is blocking, or its DNS is broken. Go to Part 2.
• The app shows a specific message (Request Expired, VPN detected, Security threat, Illegal Access, Device not recognized) → go to Part 3.
• Works on Wi-Fi but not on mobile data → Part 4. Slow loading → Part 5. Update won't install → Part 6.

Do the steps in order and test the app after each step. After this you will not need a VPN.

Step 1 – Allow Wi-Fi and Mobile data for the CircuitBit app

Many phones can block one app from using Wi-Fi while other apps work. This is the most common cause.

• Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO: Settings › Apps › Manage apps › CircuitBit › Restrict data usage → tick both Wi-Fi and Mobile data (SIM 1 and SIM 2). Also Security app › Data usage › Network permissions → CircuitBit → allow both.
• Realme / Oppo / OnePlus: Settings › Mobile network › Data usage › Network permissions › CircuitBit → turn on Wi-Fi, Mobile data and Background data. Or Settings › Apps › App management › CircuitBit › Data usage.
• Vivo / iQOO: i Manager › Data usage › Network management → open "Wi-Fi network" and "Data network" → find CircuitBit → turn both ON.
• Samsung: Settings › Connections › Data usage › Data saver → OFF (or allow CircuitBit while Data saver is on). Settings › Apps › CircuitBit › Mobile data → allow background data. In Settings, search Secure Wi-Fi and turn it OFF.
• Infinix / Tecno / Itel: Phone Master › Data manager › Network permissions → CircuitBit → allow Wi-Fi and Mobile data.
• Motorola / Nokia / Pixel / other phones: Settings › Apps › CircuitBit › Mobile data & Wi-Fi → turn on Background data and Unrestricted data usage. Settings › Network & internet › Data Saver → OFF.

Step 2 – Turn off apps that filter or "protect" your internet

These apps sit between CircuitBit and our server. The browser passes through them; the app does not.

• Ad blockers / firewalls: AdGuard, Blokada, NetGuard, DNS66, RethinkDNS.
• Antivirus with web protection: Kaspersky, Norton, Avast, McAfee, Bitdefender.
• Parental control / family safety apps, and DNS changer apps (1.1.1.1, Intra, DNS Changer, "internet booster" apps).
• Any free VPN or "security" app that runs in the background even when you did not turn it on.

Disable or uninstall them, or add CircuitBit to their exception list. Then test again.

Step 3 – Remove user-installed certificates

Some apps install a "certificate" on your phone so they can read your internet traffic. For your security, CircuitBit refuses such connections. Chrome does not, which is why the website still opens.

• Settings › Security & privacy › More security settings › Encryption & credentials › Trusted credentials › USER tab (Xiaomi: Settings › Passwords & security › Privacy › Encryption & credentials).
• Normal phones have nothing in the USER tab. If any certificate is listed (AdGuard, Kaspersky, an office or school certificate…), tap it and Remove, or use "Clear credentials". Then restart the phone.

Step 4 – Set Private DNS to Automatic

• Settings › Network & internet › Private DNS (Samsung: Settings › Connections › More connection settings › Private DNS) → choose Automatic or Off. A custom hostname such as a family filter can block the app.

Step 5 – Restart the app and test without VPN

• Turn the VPN OFF → Settings › Apps › CircuitBit › Force stop → connect to your Wi-Fi → open CircuitBit.

• Test on mobile data or another Wi-Fi. If it works there, the problem is your Wi-Fi provider (its DNS or a filter), not your phone.
• Use a public DNS: Settings › Network & internet › Private DNS › Private DNS provider hostname → type dns.google (or one.one.one.one) → Save. This bypasses a broken or filtering DNS.
• Restart the router. If your router or ISP app has "Parental control", "Website filter", "Safe browsing" or "Security shield", add circuitbitapp.com to the allowed list or turn the filter off.
• Office, college or public Wi-Fi often blocks apps and downloads. Finish the Wi-Fi login page in Chrome first; if it still fails, use mobile data or a hotspot.
• Temporary workaround: the latest CircuitBit version allows VPN, so a VPN can be used until your provider fixes the block. Tell us your Wi-Fi company name so we can check from our side.

• "Request Expired" or a time error: your phone clock is more than 5 minutes wrong. Settings › System › Date & time → turn ON "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically". Restart the app.
• "VPN detected": older app versions do not allow VPN, and ad-blocker apps also use the VPN slot. Turn them off, then update to the latest APK from circuitbitapp.com.
• "Security threat detected" / the app closes at start: rooted phones (Magisk), emulators, Xposed/Frida tools, app cloners and modified or re-signed APKs are not supported. Install the official APK on a normal phone.
• "Illegal Access" / "Access Denied": only the official app can talk to our server. Uninstall modified APKs, download the app only from circuitbitapp.com, and do not use dual-app / clone features or download managers with CircuitBit.
• "Device Not Recognized" / "Registered on another device": your account is linked to one phone (two phones on 6, 9 and 12-month plans). Changed your phone? Ask your reseller to reset your Device ID. This is not a network problem.
• "Still connecting to the server": wait 10 seconds and tap Login again. If it repeats, do Part 1.
• Maintenance screen: our server is being updated. Try again after the time shown.

• Do Step 1 of Part 1 and make sure Mobile data is allowed for CircuitBit (SIM 1 and SIM 2).
• Settings › Network & internet › Data Saver → OFF (or add CircuitBit to "Unrestricted data"). Also allow Background data.
• Turn Airplane mode ON for 10 seconds and OFF to get a fresh connection. Try switching between 5G and 4G (Settings › Mobile network › Preferred network type).
• Check that the data SIM has balance or an active pack; on dual-SIM phones check which SIM is selected for data.

• Large files need a steady connection: move closer to the router, or switch to mobile data for a moment. Pause other downloads and app updates.
• Turn off battery restrictions for CircuitBit: Settings › Apps › CircuitBit › Battery → Unrestricted / No restrictions (Samsung: remove it from "Sleeping apps"; Xiaomi: Battery saver → No restrictions).
• Settings › Apps › CircuitBit › Storage › Clear cache (not "Clear data"). Then restart the phone.

• Download only from circuitbitapp.com in Chrome. If Chrome asks, allow Install unknown apps for Chrome (Settings › Apps › Chrome › Install unknown apps).
• Install over the existing app; do not uninstall first, so you keep your login.
• "App not installed": free up storage, then try again. If it still fails, uninstall, reinstall, and log in again with the same number on the same phone.
